When I began my quest to be more successful, I focused all my efforts entirely on making money. I thought this thinking would bring me the success I desired. I worked all the hours I could in my attempts to get more money.
This was a mistake. My relationships with my wife and kids suffered badly. Family outings and fun times together ceased. Even eating dinner together became more of a novelty than a loving habit.
Eventually, on top of all of this my health began to deteriorate too. And I had a major health scare.
Although my earnings did go up during this stressful period of my life it didn’t get me what I should have been aiming for, which is wealth.
I suddenly realised that something had to change - and fast.
With the increase in earnings I decided to focus on my Health and went on a detox, changed my diet and started drinking 2 to 3 liters of alkaline water per day. This change greatly improved my energy and completely solved my previous health scare.
My second step was to improve the dying Relationships with my wife and kids. So I worked on restoring that back to how it was when we first met. Now, we get on like we are still on our honeymoon. Fun family outings are back too.
The third step I worked on was creating Wealth. There is a big difference in making money and creating wealth and it takes a certain mindset to achieve this.
